Introducing the 77-Year-Old to The Macallan Red Collection.
The Red Collection is an exquisite range of distinguished and rare single-malt whiskies. Each expression within the collection reflects the pursuit of uncompromised excellence which has driven The Macallan since 1824. The distinctive red colour is inspired by the significance of red throughout the history of The Macallan.
Slowly matured over seven extraordinary decades under the watchful eye of generations of whisky makers, The Macallan 77 Years Old is the latest addition to The Red Collection and is the first high-aged guest release to join the collection since the range's introduction. Distilled decades ago and left to mature in hand-picked oak casks for 77 years and bottled at 43.2% ABV.
In keeping with previous releases in the collection, the new expression is encased in a handcrafted oak presentation box, created in the UK, using the same sustainable European oak used to craft The Macallan’s oak casks. The box has been beautifully upholstered with sustainably sourced, soft red Scottish leather from Bridge of Weir Leather. The bottle itself has been hand finished and signed by The Macallan Master Whisky Maker, Kirsteen Campbell.
