Beamish International Ltd was founded in 2018 by Charles Beamish with a view to transforming the private client experience for rare whisky sales. Since then he has built a strong team with experience of working for premium brands within the drinks and luxury industries.

Our business is founded on the principle of service, by working with producers and brand owners to offer private clients a truly world class experience in collecting rare whisky.

Charles Beamish

CEO and Founder

Charles founded Beamish International Ltd in April 2018 after founding the internal Whyte & Mackay Private Client business with The Dalmore. He has over 17 years of experience in the drinks and financial services industry laterally as a Director of Panmure Gordon & Co overseeing global family offices. His involvement in disruptive investing within the wine & spirits industry has seen him being recognised as one of the industry’s leading specialists. Charles is a Freeman of The City of London, A Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Distillers and A Commandeur de Bordeaux.

Jeremy Parsons

Non-executive Director

Jeremy is an experienced Managing Director and international business leader with a track record of successful premium brand development and Private Client Sales in the Fine Wine and Spirits market across the UK, Mainland Europe, The Americas and Asia. Previously, Jeremy spent 15 years at Berry Brothers & Rudd as their International Managing Director and COO. In addition he was a board member of the family that own and operate Berry Brothers & Rudd. He has over 30 years experience in Fine Wine & Spirits managing a global network of Private Clients. He was made a Keeper of Quaich in 2005.

Charles Maclean MBE

Independent Whisky Expert and Writer

Charlie has been researching and writing Whisky Books & articles since 1981, and shares his enthusiasm and knowledge by giving Talks & Tastings around the world, by leading ‘whisky expeditions’ in Scotland and by presenting training programmes and Masterclasses for whisky companies, clubs and individuals. He has written over 18 books on Scotch whisky, many of them bestsellers. He is the Master of the Quaich and recognised as the whisky industry's leading authority and expert. Charlie was awarded the MBE in 2021 for services to scotch whisky, to UK exports, and to charity.

Matthew Garstang

Head of Finance

Matthew is a Chartered Accountant having trained with PwC.  Having spent 6 years working in Business Advisory at PwC and then Grant Thornton, he joined Crieff Hydro hotel group as the Finance Director where he was part of the leadership team growing the hotel group through acquisition and management contracts. Subsequent to this, Matthew has worked as a Portfolio Finance Director for a number of companies across multiple sectors developing finance functions, implementing equity and debt funding structures, selling businesses and providing M&A support. He also worked for Gordon & MacPhail with overall project management responsibility for delivering their new whisky distillery The Cairn. Matthew is also a non-executive director for Crieff Hydro hotel group and the Fruitmarket Gallery.

Kezia Sinden

Operations Director

Kezia has a wealth of 20 years’ experience in the luxury sector, specialising in process improvement, creative solutions, and superior client service. Formerly a Director at Sotheby’s, where she worked her way up over 14 years, Kezia managed the Shipping Logistics Department in London. She also ran the Travelling Exhibitions Team across Europe. After Sotheby's, Kezia took a role as Head of Operations at Asprey where she led an international team across 10 stores globally, and managed Asprey's e-commerce distribution. Kezia joined Beamish International in 2020. Kezia is Freeman of the City of London, a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Innholders, and a Compagnon du Beaujolais.

Dr. Christopher White

Head of Private Clients

Dr. Christopher White is an award-winning whisky writer, presenter, host, and judge, with over 15 years of experience in the whisky industry. Prior to joining Beamish, he was a Private Client Advisor at Diageo Rare & Exceptional based at the Johnnie Walker flagship experience in Edinburgh. Chris has hosted tastings and events across the globe, and won the inaugural ‘Communicator of the Year’ award at the Icons of Whisky Scotland Awards. He sits on the judging panel of various national and international whisky awards and has attended Diageo’s prestigious Malt Advocates course, gained the Diploma in the Art of Tasting Whisky from Edinburgh Whisky Academy, and sat on the Tasting Panel at The Scotch Malt Whisky Society. 

Emmanuel Ehimuan

Head of Marketing

Emmanuel is a marketing & business strategist with extensive intra/entrepreneurial experience in innovating and solving business challenges through strategic management. He currently handles the promotion and marketing of Beamish International and advises on new growth strategies, brand partnerships and digital development.

Vladimir Zabnin

Head of Portfolio Management

Vladimir joined Beamish International in May 2023 as the Head of Portfolio Management and brings a wealth of experience in portfolio analytics and data management. Previously, he worked as a Senior Data and Pricing Analyst at Alliance Trust Savings where he managed multiple relationships with data vendors, including Intercontinental Exchange and Bloomberg, to deliver accurate data to one of the largest investment platforms in the UK. Prior to joining Beamish International, Vladimir was a Portfolio Analytics Specialist in the Investment Risk, Analytics, and Research department at Baillie Gifford, where he looked after equity, fixed income, and multi-asset portfolios.

Alex Field


Alex is a seasoned luxury consultant. Having worked for LVMH for 14 years working his way up to a global CMO position for Thomas Pink in their fashion division, he learnt the art of building luxury brands from the very best. His experience also includes hospitality having worked as CMO for the investors behind Four Seasons at Ten Trinity Square and Wentworth, and consulting briefs with Richard Caring’s Birley Group, KOKO in Camden, Paper Moon, London. Alex's experience in wine and spirits includes being the first-ever brand team on Belvedere vodka at its creation, and 7 years with Moet Hennessy. Alex is the Co-Founder of The Circle – a business of luxury network club. He enjoys working closely with Chinese networks in London, and Middle East networks between London and the Middle East.  

Paula Hinchliff

Group E.A. and Office Manager

Paula is a professional and experienced Executive Assistant, having supported several senior level executives throughout her career.  With a natural affinity for excellence and passion within the corporate sector and food and wine industry, Paula joined Beamish International in May 2022 as our Office Manager and to provide invaluable support across the group. She is a Fellow of the Executive and Personal Assistants Association.

What we do

Beamish International is a global private client business specialising in rare whisky.

We are contracted and work directly with whisky producers to offer clients single casks and high value bottles, guaranteeing provenance and authenticity.

We receive high value and rare release allocations from nine of the most renowned whisky brands in the world including The Dalmore, The Balvenie, GlenDronach, and TheMacallan as well as Gordon & MacPhail.

Our role is to provide access to rare stock and help clients navigate their way through the sales process, assisting clients with their purchases and investments.

Our services include dedicated portfolio management, education, tailor-made whisky travel experiences, personalised packaging, storage and logistics solutions.
